The Right Wedding Hair Styles for 2009

The Right Wedding Hairstyles for 2009

A wedding say is meant to be the most perfect day in any woman’s life and one of the most important part of this big day is getting the look just right. As with most fashion things, wedding hairstyle trends change every year and for the year ahead, wedding hairstyles are said to be in for a revamp!
Wedding Hairstyle Ideas

More polished styles are in for 2009
, taking over the messy styles that seemed to dominate over the last couple of years. Although there is still a lot of texture in the styles, they are more elegant and less relaxed with slightly more controversial hair accessories being used to replace the more imaginative styles we have come to get used to.
With more refined hair comes the need for bigger and better items to add to it and ribbons and streamers that are in tow with the rest of the wedding color scheme seems to be the perfect addition to any wedding style. Vintage items are also coming back in fashion with the added interest in vintage dresses and shoes and if you are brave enough, you could even try adding a family heirloom brooch to the hair to spice things up a little bit.
So, if you are looking to get married in 2009 the hairstyle that you should be looking at is still relaxed with soft edgings as you may have come across in 2008 but with a slightly more vintage and polished appeal to it. If you are looking for a way to get more creative, look at vintage stores to find something that can be placed in the hair rather than a traditional veil to make things a bit more exotic!

Trendy 2010 Hairstyles For Summer

Trendy 2010 Hairstyles For Summer

It’s a new year, and you – along with the rest of humanity – are thinking about a new you. So you want to cut your hair to signify the fact that you’re starting over. Congratulations. Now that that’s out of the way, you’re probably wondering what’s new and trendy in 2010. I’ll tell you, but keep in mind that hairstyles come and go, so you need to be really versatile and ready to make a commitment if you’re going to go through with it. Speaking of versatile, one haircut that’s rampaging the red carpet right now is the versatile haircut. I’m serious. That’s what it’s called. Basically your hair is shorter underneath and longer on the top. No, it’s not a reverse mullet. You can actually see it in action on two of the Kardashians, Kim and Khloe. This hairstyle really is versatile, allowing you to wear it any way you see fit: up, down, over your eye, in waves, straight, curly, an afro. OK, maybe not an afro, but you could if you really wanted to. You get the picture. A choppy hairstyle is also great, especially if you want something that’s easy to maintain and take care of. This style usually works better on short hair than it does long, so try not to let your hair surpass chin-length if you’re going to get it.
Sexy Layered Hair

Want something a little more elegant? Try a layered hairstyle. This is a rarity can go with any length, type or grade of hair. It’s also very easy to maintain, and can be worn by women of all ages.

2010 Wedding Hair Colors - Spring, Summer Edition

2010 Wedding Hair Colors - Spring, Summer Edition

When you say “blushing bride” you’re probably thinking of some fair-skinned damsel with light hair, soft eyes and features that would make a China doll jealous. Too bad we don’t live in the land of make-believe, where that might actually be true. No, we live in the real world, where we might not exactly be blushing, and most of us don’t look like hand-carved, extremely breakable porcelain. But hey, that’s a good thing. If you trip over your train, you’d shatter like Kanye West’s faith in humanity.

So, you’re here because you need a hair color. This year is pretty simple – blonde is no longer in style. Yep, you read that right. Blondes may have had more fun some years back, but at the opening of this decade brunettes are the new blond. (Don’t you hate that phrase? Something is the new something? Why can’t we just go back to saying it’s in or it’s out? Fashion, you overcomplicate everything.)

Dark hair looks great on just about everyone, no matter what your skin tone, body type, or fashion preferences are. You don’t even have to actually be brunette. A deep, rich red works just as well, and adds a bit of color and vibrancy to your general persona. (Think Lindsay Lohan before she went blonde.) Whatever color you decide on, don’t make it too dark. And beware of black, or you might wind up looking gothic. Unless your hair is already black. In which case, congratulations: you’re the new brunette.

Cute Hair Trends For Spring, Summer 2010

Cute Hair Trends For Spring, Summer 2010

Like any trend, hair trends come and go with every season. Sometimes the trends are just plain scary, like the big hair of the ‘80s. Other times the trends are extremely fun, and 2010 is proving to be one such year where the trends are fun, easy, and very versatile. In fact, one of the biggest trends this year is to have hair that you can easily dress up or down depending on the occasion. No matter how long your hair is, there is a great trend you can easily follow.

A nice trend for short hair is to have the hair longer on the sides, cut in layers, and with bangs. This is a great style for fine hair because it will add volume to the hair and make it seem fuller. In order to change a short haircut around, all you have to do is curl the ends differently or change the part. The same style idea works great for medium hair as well – bangs, layers, and longer sides is a great look that can help make this cut look good on anyone.

If you have medium or longer hair, waves are a great way to wear your hair in 2010. This elegant and sexy look is easily taken from night to day and is just as easy to wear in an updo as it is to wear it in a regular hairstyle. Waves are easy to create – braid your hair when it’s wet, use a curling iron, or use hot rollers. The smaller the braid, curling iron, or hot rollers you use the small the curl you will end up with and the tighter the wave you’ll eventually have. Once you’ve curled your hair, use your fingers to loosen it into the waves that you want. If you want your hair straight again, all you have to do is use a flatiron.

Beauty Secrets for Fine Hair

Beauty Secrets for Fine Hair - 2009 Spring Summer Tips

For those ladies out there who have fine and thin hair but dream of bouncy hair with plenty of volume then help is at hand! If you want fuller hair to plump up and show off as you wish, all you need to do is follow these simple guidelines and the days of lank hair will soon be a thing of the past!
2009 Spring Summer Hairstyles Edition - Fine Hair

First of all, one of the biggest secrets that every woman with fine hair should know is the fact that dirty hair looks lifeless no matter how thick or full of volume it is. So, bearing this in mind, make sure that you wash your hair more often that you already do. This is not always good for your hair as it strips the hair of vital compounds but if you only wash your hair every three days now, try to wash it every two days and make sure you use great hair conditioning products to make sure that it is still healthy.
There are plenty of shampoos out there that are designed to pump up the volume so perhaps it is worth paying that little bit more for one that does just this? You should try and get a conditioner with the same properties but only ever use a small amount and try to focus more on the ends of your hair than the roots as fine hair combined with lots of conditioner will just lay limp and lifeless as beauty products such as this have a habit of weighing hair down.
Hair extensions are a great last resort for fuller volume in hair so if you are planning a big night out and you fancy a bit more “pouf” to your hairdo, why not try the clip in ones that you can get for a short term fix?

Are You Looking for a Remedy for Dry Hair?

Are You Looking for a Remedy for Dry Hair?

Dry hair not only feels bad but can look bad too and one comment of how terrible your hair is looking is enough to knock the confidence out of a woman just like a blow to the torso! Thankfully, first aid for hair is here and if you want better condition hair that doesn’t look so dry and brittle, take a little time and learn how to love your hair!

Latest Spring Summer 2009 Hairstyles Edition

A number of things can cause dryness to your hair such as certain medications, sun damage, too much coloring and also perming of the hair as well as over using those hair straightening irons. If this is you and you do any of these things, (aside from medication) then stop it or slow down! Every now and again stop aiming for the straight look and have bed hair, let your perm run out and try the straight look and if you have to color your hair try to have it done professionally and use plenty of conditioning products!
Secondary to that, you could just be washing your hair too often. Dry hair needs less washing that better conditioned hair so if you are one of the culprits that washes daily stop it and give your hair a rest! You could be stripping the hair of the natural oils it needs to be in better condition.
Last but not least, use plenty of conditioner and especially on the ends but make sure that you wash it out properly otherwise it can dry your hair out even more and try to use nourishing shampoos for an extra burst of health!
